I’ve been making pottery since 2018, but only recently launched Ross Robertson Ceramics - a small-batch pottery studio on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island. My focus is on crafting high-quality, handmade ceramics that are built to last and made to be used.

I create functional pieces designed for everyday use - mugs, cups, and homeware that are practical and thoughtfully designed both in form and material. While I'm getting established, I’m focusing mainly on mugs and working with only limited glazes. That said, I’m excited to expand the range soon.

Most of my work is wheel-thrown and trimmed, then fired to cone 8 (about 1235°C). The clay is made in Nelson, New Zealand (with the exception of the speckled white), and all glazes are made in-studio after extensive testing.
