Hello and thanks for visiting!

I’ve been making pottery since 2018, and in 2025 launched Ross Robertson Ceramics - a small-batch pottery studio on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island. My focus is on crafting high-quality, handmade ceramics that are built to last and made to be used.

I create functional pieces designed for everyday use - mugs, cups, and homeware that are practical and thoughtfully designed both in form and material.  

Most of my work is wheel-thrown and trimmed, then fired to cone 8 (about 1235°C). The clay is made in Nelson, New Zealand (with the exception of the speckled white), and all glazes are made in-studio after extensive testing.

Ross Robertson Ceramics is an online store only, and unfortunately, the studio is not open to the public. However, I do have some pieces available at the Gallery118 Kawatiri Artists Collective in Westport (153 Palmerston Street).
